Aging skin, and the loss of youthful vibrancy or skin contours, is often the reason our patients seek facial aesthetic services with us. At Ellis & Evans Oral Surgery, we treat both cosmetic and functional skin conditions resulting from sun damage, scarring, sagging skin, wrinkles and fine lines, and dull or lifeless skin with minimally invasive procedures. Our board-certified oral and facial surgeon, Dr. Erik Evans, specializes in facial aesthetic treatment and with his surgical and dental training, is uniquely qualified to provide these services, including a facelift in Gahanna and Upper Arlington, OH. We complete all these procedures in our own state-of-the-art surgical facilities, too, where we have full anesthesia capabilities and all surgical resources and equipment. Your treatment will be comfortable and personalized, and you can return home the same day.
BOTOX® is a common injectable used to treat visual signs of aging by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the face, including crow’s feet, frown lines, forehead creasing, and lip lines. This procedure results in temporary paralysis of the facial muscles to diminish the visibility of these wrinkles and lines. Treatment results typically last between 3-4 months before another injection is needed.
A facelift restores more youthful contours and rejuvenates the skin affected by aging, sun, smoking, stress, and even heredity. The procedure includes redistributing or sculping the fat around the face, cheeks, and jowls; repositioning or lifting underlying tissue and facial muscles; and removing any excess skin. Bruising and swelling should subside within a few weeks, while full recovery generally takes between 2-3 months.
Neck lifts erase the signs of aging by removing the excess fat and skin from the jawline and neck. Often completed with other rejuvenating treatments like brow lift and cheek augmentation, a neck lift can improve facial appearance by erasing a double chin and excess wrinkles and lines. The procedure involves repositioning tissue and removing fat deposits, tightening the platysma muscle, and removing excess skin.
A cheek augmentation restores natural volume or lifts the cheeks that have lost contouring and structure because of aging. The procedure can include fat grafting (taking fat from another part of the body and inserting it into the cheeks) or surgically placing solid cheek implants. Results are noticeable as soon as swelling and bruising resolve and you can return to normal activities and work within a week.
A brow lift, or a forehead lift, improves the cosmetic appearance of the upper portion of the face that is sagging or wrinkled due to aging. The procedure smooths fine lines and wrinkles in the forehead and between the brows; lifts the eyebrows and upper eyelids; and readjusts the facial muscles to minimize a tired or “too serious” look. You’ll see noticeable results within a few weeks once any swelling or bruising has gone down.
A chemical peel restores more youthful tone and texture of skin affected by acne, pigmentation, sun exposure, scars, or aging. The procedure’s intensity varies based on the condition of your skin and may be a light, medium, or deep chemical peel to remove the outer, middle, or lower layer of the skin. Recovery also varies based on the intensity of the chemical peel, ranging from a few days to a few weeks or months for full healing.
Scar revision reduces the appearance or severity of facial scars and improves skin texture and tone. The procedure can include surface treatments like chemical peels or injectables for mild scarring. Deeper scars may require layer closure to reduce the appearance or flap closure, Z-plasty, or W-plasty. Recovery may take up to two weeks, but the results are long-lasting.
